BSC Community Agreement
Confidentiality, recordings, and caring for ourselves and one another
Version: October 17, 2026
The Better Sleep Community is a place to learn, practice, and explore sleep through a nervous-system lens. People may share personal experiences, and we approach those experiences with care.
This agreement explains how we participate together, protect one another’s privacy, and make choices about our own participation.
Taking care of yourself
You choose how you participate. Listening counts. You can keep your camera off, keep a reflection private, skip a practice, pause, or leave a call when you need to.
Practices such as tapping, orienting, and reflection may bring awareness to emotions, memories, or body sensations. You do not need to push through discomfort or continue something that feels too much. You can stop, return your attention to your surroundings, and seek individual support when needed.
There is no expectation to share personal details, complete every resource, or keep up with everything.
Understanding the support offered here
The BSC provides education, coaching, and shared learning. It does not provide medical diagnosis, psychotherapy, treatment, or emergency support.
Please continue to seek appropriate care for sleep concerns and physical or mental health needs. Do not change medication or treatment based on community discussions without consulting your qualified health professional.
Our intention is to support your nervous system and your relationship with sleep. Individual experiences vary, and a particular sleep outcome is not guaranteed.
Protecting one another’s privacy
Please keep other members’ personal stories, questions, comments, and identifying details within the community. You may share what you are learning about yourself without identifying another person or retelling their experience.
Do not take screenshots, make your own recordings, copy another member’s personal comments, or share replay links outside the community.
When watching a replay or attending a call, choose a setting where other people cannot overhear personal sharing, or use headphones.
These expectations apply during your membership and after it ends. Although Carol establishes these expectations and responds to concerns, confidentiality cannot be absolutely guaranteed in a group setting.
Participating with care
Speak from your own experience and leave room for others to describe theirs. Listen with care, and ask before offering advice or trying to solve someone’s difficulty.
Ask permission before sending another member a direct message. Sharing something in a group does not automatically invite private contact.
Some experiences need more time and privacy than a community call can offer. Individual support may be a helpful part of your wider support system.
Understanding recordings and replays
Many BSC calls are recorded so members can return to the teaching or participate through replays.
Recordings are uploaded to Carol Richard Coaching’s YouTube channel as unlisted videos, with links placed inside the community portal. Current and future members may view them. Unlisted videos are not password-protected; anyone who obtains a link may be able to view it. Members must keep those links within the community.
Your displayed name, image, voice, questions, chat comments, or personal sharing may appear in a recording. Keeping your camera off does not prevent your voice or displayed name from being included.
You can change your displayed name, listen quietly, and choose what you share. Please share only what you are comfortable having included in a replay.
Monthly Integration Calls also welcome guests who are not ongoing BSC members.
If you later feel uncomfortable about something included in a recording, contact Carol as soon as possible. Where reasonably possible, she will remove that portion. People who attended live or already watched the replay may have heard it.
Carol’s commitment
Carol will not use a personal story or identifying detail from private coaching in community teaching, a book, training, or marketing without separate, clear permission, except where disclosure is legally required.
Permission to participate in a recorded community call does not give permission to use your personal sharing in marketing.
Payments, cancellation and refunds
Your membership is $99 USD per month. Your first payment is charged when you join, and your membership renews automatically each month until you cancel. By purchasing, you authorize these recurring payments.
You can cancel through your account’s Billing settings before your next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your access continues until the end of your paid billing period. If you need help cancelling, contact carol@carolrichardcoaching.com before your renewal date.
Membership payments are non-refundable, and partial refunds are not provided for unused time if you cancel during a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
Questions and concerns
If something feels uncomfortable or you have a concern about privacy, recordings, or participation, contact carol@carolrichardcoaching.com. You do not need perfect words to raise a concern.
Serious or repeated breaches of confidentiality or respectful participation may result in removal of community access.
