A gentle, practical exploration of how your nervous system moves through different states — and how those shifts can shape your experience of rest, sleep, and daily life.

In this session, we explored the different states of the nervous system through a new way of seeing them — using a ladder that separates both supportive and survival experiences within each state.

Rather than seeing the nervous system as simply “good” or “bad,” this approach helps make space for the full range of what your body may be doing — and why.

  • The three core nervous system states: ventral, sympathetic, and dorsal
  • How each state can show up in both supportive and survival ways
  • How quickly the nervous system can shift in response to images, tone, and environment
  • How greater awareness can help create more choice and capacity

We also moved through guided reflection and interactive exercises to begin mapping these states more personally — noticing body sensations, emotional reactions, and the subtle ways the nervous system responds before the thinking mind catches up.
