EFT/Tapping 101 and an introduction to the 3 Components of Better Sleep

I am so excited that you decided to join us this month for support on your journey to improve the quality of your sleep.

There is a lot of information to share this month, but please go at your own speed so as not to feel overwhelmed. You have ongoing access to all of this content so you can revisit the videos and integrate the information at whatever pace is most comfortable for you.

It can be hard to assimilate new information when you are sleep-deprived because your brain does not function as efficiently as it might. But no worries, that all gets better once you are able to get your sleep back on track and wake up feeling refreshed again.

I want to share a conversation I had with Brad Yates via email. If you don’t know who Brad is, just search his name on the internet. He is one of the best-known practitioners in the Tapping world, with millions of views on his YouTube videos.

Our email exchange made me realize that we are such powerful human beings and that our belief systems really do create our reality. I wholeheartedly believe that good sleep is possible for everyone, once we learn how to create it for ourselves. And just because we have struggled with sleep does not mean we are damaged beyond repair. We can change that, and I am living proof that it is possible.

I’m curious – have you read “Why We Sleep” by Matthew Walker? Ironically, I have lost some sleep because of that book… he suggests that any time you haven’t had a good full night’s sleep, there is irreparable damage. Tap tap tap…

Hi Brad, 

Thanks so much. It was so amazing to be part of the 24 Hours of Tapping with Gene. I am still in awe that we raised that much money for such a great cause. I loved your presentation as well. I cried the entire time with Gene. LOL. Tears of gratitude and awe for this beautiful community of tappers we have.

And yes, I read that book a few times quite a few years ago. I think it's funny that it's made you lose sleep. I don't suggest anyone read sleep books for that reason. I read them and pull out the information I can use to give people hope and help them fix their sleep issues. 

To be honest, I don't believe that we create irreparable damage when we have bad sleep. I know this because I spent two years with severe insomnia. During the last six months of that bout of insomnia, I averaged 2 to 3 hours of sleep only because I took 2 sleeping pills. My body did start breaking down and I lost sensation in my hands and feet. As you can tell today, most people would never know I had sleep issues. My brain is fully functioning, and I am in the best health of my life. I don't feel that my lack of sleep has done any long-lasting damage. If anything, it has shown me how to have compassion for people who don't sleep and support them back to a healthy lifestyle. I also know that without that severe experience, I would never have left the corporate world to pursue this kind of work. My lack of sleep has been my biggest blessing. ☺️
